My Influence Map

I don't usually do meme's, but this one got me thinking.

Corben: I can't say how much Richard Corben was an influence on me in my younger days, simply because words don't adequately describe it. The DEN series was so much a part of my teenage years that I truly wished I could have been whisked away to Neverwhere.

TRON: This one set me down the path of creating art with a computer. This showed me that even if I couldn't draw that great (did well enough in college), I could still use the computer to help fill in the gaps.

Mobius: Jean Giraud (aka Mobius) was like a god to me. His stories where fantastical. He took you to worlds that were colorful and truly inhabited by strange and exotic (and erotic) creatures.

Wizards: The first R rated animated movie I ever saw. Dry wit, Elinore dressed as skimpily as possible, and her "betrayal" led me to think you could use the medium for drama and eroticism.

Star Wars: Does this need an explanation? The quintessential story of a boy, a girl, and a universe.

Boris: Boris Vallejo's works were seminal to my eye on fantasy. Strong men, voluptuous women, strength, power, and beauty, all rolled into clean and crisp paints that exuded forth from the canvas. If I could wish for talent, this is the man I would take it from

Playboy: Hugh Heffner told us it was alright to like sex, to enjoy the female form, and to live life to its fullest. Playboy was the main instrument in my love for large breasts.

Heavy Metal: A monthly magazine devoted to erotic graphic stories. I collected this for a number of years, even through Marvel's try with EPIC magazine. Heavy Metal always had the best stories and the best covers.
