A new start...again

Some folks know I was gone over the weekend.  Usually, I never power down my PC.  Causes too many problems.  Since I was going to be gone, I thought I would give my wife some peace and quiet and power down my PC.  That was Friday night.  Sunday afternoon when I returned I started up my machine.

I have never seen a PC boot so slow since the good ol' 80386 days.  Some services and processes did not start up so I rebooted into Safe Mode.  I tried running SFC and only got to 13%.  That let me know that something was very wrong.  Turns out my System folder got corrupted after I had shut down my PC.  It has taken me days to copy the most essential files and folders to back-up drives (at 80386 speeds).

Last night I got my machine back up and running by doing a clean install (had to convert the drive to MBR and so lost all the data).  Right now I am doing a lot of testing and re-installing.  I will not be able to post too much stuff this week but I will try.  In the meantime, while I was fixing Poser, I inputted one of the serial numbers I had paid for a long time ago and FINALLY got Poser Game Dev to work.  I think I will try it out and see what I can do with it.
